On July 3, the School-Enterprise Collaboration Symposium on High-Skilled Talent Development for the Low-Altitude Economy was successfully held at Nanjing Industrial Technology Technical School. Nanjing Weize Tethered Technology Co., Ltd., as a member of the Low-Altitude Economy High-Skilled Talent Development Alliance, attended the symposium and officially established a deep industry-academia-research partnership with the school, jointly exploring new pathways for integrated university-to-business commercialization
Distinguished attendees included Hu Hengsuo, First-Level Researcher at the United Front Work Department of the Jiangsu Provincial Committee of the CPC and Secretary-General of Jiangsu Provincial Chinese Vocational Education Association; Zhang Ruixiao, Deputy Director of Jiangsu Provincial Skills Research Center; Lv Congjie, Director of the Vocational Capacity Development Division of Nanjing Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau; Wu You, Deputy Director of the Party Affairs Division of Nanjing Municipal United Front Work Department; Liu Chengrong, Deputy Director of the Investment Promotion Bureau of Nanjing Jiangning Economic and Technological Development Zone; Li Guangxi, Deputy Party Secretary of Jiangsu Low-Altitude Flight Service Center and Jiangsu Aviation Industry Group; and Wang Hongyue, Deputy Secretary-General of Nanjing Low-Altitude Economy Industry Association. Nearly 100 representatives from technical schools and related enterprises attended the event.
I. Partner Institution | Nanjing Industrial Technology Technical School
Nanjing Industrial Technology Technical School is a specialized institution deeply engaged in cultivating low-altitude economy talent in Jiangsu Province. It has established a Low-Altitude Economy Industry Academy and operates a “front-school, back-factory” practical training model. The campus features a dedicated UAV training center, an eVTOL R&D base, certified flight airspace, and a full suite of flight training equipment, enabling independent R&D of aircraft and licensed UAV pilot training—producing hands-on professionals that closely align with industry demands.
As a member of the Low-Altitude Economy High-Skilled Talent Development Alliance, Nanjing Weize Tethered Technology (“Tethered Yangge”) has entered into a deep industry-academia-research collaboration with Nanjing Industrial Technology Technical School. The company’s self-developed G4 Tethered Lighting System has officially been installed at the school’s on-campus training base.
The complete system consists of the AF-G4-100M Tethered Power Unit paired with the AF-L800 High-Intensity Lighting Payload. It is compatible with multiple industrial drone platforms including DJI M200, M300, and M350, and supports 6S/12S power systems with a rated power under 2500W. The system can be quickly adapted by swapping the onboard module—no airframe modifications are required. The unit can be powered by either utility mains or a generator, enabling 24/7 stationary drone operations. The onboard expansion interface supports lighting, communication relay, and surveillance payloads, effectively addressing the common limitations of standard UAVs—short endurance, limited payload capacity, and elevated training risks. The system is lightweight, easy to transport, and features one-touch operation, making it ideally suited for campus practical training.
II. Deep Collaboration | Weize Tethered and the School Jointly Launch Three Core Initiatives
Nanjing Weize Tethered Technology (“Tethered Yangge”) is a high-tech enterprise focused on industrial tethered UAV systems, with self-developed all-weather, long-endurance tethered support equipment. Its products are widely applied in commercial sectors including security and emergency response, wind turbine maintenance, and high-altitude cleaning.
Following the official alliance agreement, the university-enterprise partnership has established three core areas of collaboration:
1. Targeted Talent Development – Bridging Education and Employment
Company engineers will be stationed at the school to deliver dedicated tethered UAV training courses. The curriculum is aligned with real commercial project requirements and covers hands-on operations including equipment assembly, aerial mission execution, and system diagnostics and repair.
2. Joint R&D – Commercializing Research Outputs
The two parties will establish a joint tethered UAV laboratory. Leveraging the school’s flight airspace, testing facilities, and young R&D talent, combined with the company’s mature core technologies, they will co-develop training-specific UAV models and lightweight support equipment—facilitating the commercialization of campus research outcomes into standardized market-ready products.
3. Resource Sharing – Joint Market Expansion
The school will provide open test airspace and practical training manpower to support the company’s product iteration. In return, the company will contribute real-world commercial UAV projects across China as training case studies. Both parties will jointly explore business opportunities in low-altitude inspection, emergency support, and beyond—creating a two-way empowerment model where academic institutions produce skilled talent and enterprises convert that talent into marketable services.
III. Future Outlook | Building a Benchmark Model for Industry-Education Integration in Jiangsu
This alliance agreement marks a significant milestone in Weize Tethered’s strategic layout of industry-education integration in the low-altitude economy sector. Moving forward, the company will continue to deepen its strategic partnership with Nanjing Industrial Technology Technical School through:
Regularly assigning engineers to deliver on-campus training courses;
Jointly developing tethered equipment optimized for both teaching and commercial applications;
Launching dedicated low-altitude economy employment programs.
Together, the two parties aim to build a benchmark case of university-enterprise collaboration and commercial transformation in Jiangsu Province, contributing to the upgrading and expansion of the regional low-altitude economy industry.
